Dr Seke has more than 20 years of combined experience in Research & Development and metallurgical operations. Dr Seke started his metallurgical career as graduate engineer at Gécamines R&D in the DRC. Dr Seke worked in various capacities at the University of Pretoria, SGS, Rio Tinto–Palabora Mining, and Lonmin Plc. He has expertise in Extractive Metallurgy, Applied Mineralogy and Metallurgical Accounting.
Dr Seke holds a Master degree and PhD in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pretoria (South Africa), Master of Business Administration (GIBS, University of Pretoria), Management Advance Programme (WITS Business School), and a Six Sigma Black Belt (CS International). He also completed a certificate in Orebody knowledge and strategic mine planning from Duke Corporate Education (USA). He is a Professional Engineer (ECSA) and currently serves on the ECSA-Professional Assessment & Moderation Committee. He is a member of the SAIMM.
